MXit Alphanumeric Login Names – How To Set A Login Name
MXit released a new service that can be used to set the name you use to login to MXit… so no more remembering those long mobile numbers.
Here’s how it works…
First add the Set Login Name service (if you don’t have it already) by going to MENU -> ADD CONTACT -> MXit SERVICE
- The service name: “setloginname“
- Give it a nickname: “Login Name“
It’s pretty obvious what to do by just chatting to the service and following the help instructions if you get confused.
Your Login Name can be made up of letters, numbers or a combination of both. It needs to be at least 3 characters long. The only symbols you can use are “.” and “_” Your Login Name can’t start with either of these symbols and you cannot use more than one next to each other.
MXit Setting Login Names
Please note that you cannot change your default Login Name, this is your registered MXit number, you can only add a new login username.
